Happy Father's Day to all the fathers! We thank you for all you do and hope you enjoyed the day!

Below are a few actions and the details for the HOME MEET this Thursday, June 20. Please read the entire message.

ACTIONS

• PAST DUE: If you haven't already, RSVP here for the end of season celebration on Wednesday, June 26 at 6 PM. We will celebrate all the swimmers with a slide show, awards from the coaches and Kona Ice by the pool!
• PAST DUE: If you haven't already, complete the meet entry for the ASA Championship Meet at Georgia Tech on Thursday, June 27 at 4 PM. Swimmers need to arrive by 2 PM. This is the optional meet where all the swim teams in our area compete together in one huge meet. It is an opportunity for your swimmer to experience a regional meet and swim against many other swimmers. 
• DUE WEDNESDAY: If your swimmer is signed up for the GA Tech meet on 6/27, please pay Jennifer Raley $48 foreach swimmer's entry fee via Venmo (@Jennifer-Raley-5) or cash or check by Wednesday. She will write one check for the team.
• DUE THURSDAY: Complete the meet entry for the final meet on Tuesday, June 25.
• DUE THURSDAY: Volunteer for a job during the final meet on Tuesday, June 25. 

MEET DETAILS

Location: HH Pool - this is our second home meet!

Arrival time: 4:15 PM; our warm up time in the pool is 4:30 PM.

What to wear: HH Team bathing suit (black) and swim team shirt

What to bring (all optional but highly recommended): sunscreen, bug spray, goggles, swim cap, shoes, 1-2 towels, bag to keep items together, water bottle, cards/book/something to occupy swimmers in between races, dinner/snacks and/or money for concession stand (see below).

Bull Pen: all the swimmers will be asked to stay under the covered area close to the diving blocks when they aren't swimming. The parent volunteers for each age group will keep an eye on them there and help them line up for their races at the right time. If the swimmer needs to use the restroom, buy food or see family at the meet, they should inform the parent volunteer before leaving the group. Please reinforce this so we can find swimmers quickly and everyone stays safe during the event.

Theme: Country Western; temporary tattoos will be provided during practice on Thursday and before the meet so each swimmer can show their team spirit.

Concessions: Hamburgers/Cheeseburgers, pizza, watermelon, chips, candy, drinks, etc. Cash only!

Parking: Limited parking in the upper lot; lower lot closed for away team bullpens. Please do not park in reserved spots - they are for the referee, coaches on the opposing team, etc. Park on the right side of the street only; obey the signs that indicate no parking on the left side of the street to allow for easy traffic flow in the neighborhood.

Going out to eat after the meet is a fun (and optional) HH Hurricane tradition! The coaches would like to invite all families to 7 Tequilas on State Bridge Road immediately following the meet. There is no obligation and all are welcome!

Friday is the last fun swim from 10:00-11:00 AM for all ages. Swimmers will get a donut and the ribbons they won from the meet on Thursday night as well as splash and have fun as a team. Don't miss out!

Additional important notes:

• Weather does not look like it will be an issue but if there are any changes, we will email like always and try our best to communicate with everyone on site as quickly as possible. Please do not leave the meet during a weather delay unless Jennifer or I communicate that you can.
• The other team is slightly larger than ours (70 swimmers compared to our 50+).
• Races for 6 & under swimmers are done about halfway through the meet; you are free to leave after your swimmer has completed their races.
