HH Swim Families,

This Thursday is Meet #3 and it is away. This team is big - be prepared for 2+ heats in most races. Here are all the details you need to know.

Location: Harrington Falls clubhouse is located at 12950 Harrington Drive, Alpharetta, GA 30009

Arrival time: no later than 4:30 PM; our warm up time in the pool is 4:45 PM. Timer meeting is at 5:15 PM and the meet begins at 5:30 PM.

What to wear: HH Team bathing suit (black) and swim team shirt

What to bring (all optional but highly recommended): sunscreen, bug spray, goggles, swim cap, shoes, 1-2 towels, bag to keep items together, water bottle, cards/book/something to occupy swimmers in between races, dinner/snacks and/or money for concession stand (see below).

Bull Pen: There is a grassy area next to the clubhouse for our bullpens. You are welcome to bring tailgate chairs; Jennifer and I will bring canopy tents.

Theme: Circus Carnival; temporary tattoos will be provided during practice on Thursday and before the meet so each swimmer can show their team spirit

Dive-starts: Dive-starts are not allowed at the Harrington Falls Pool. All races start in the water. Our pool is shallow at each end (3.5') and deep (5') in the middle. 

Weather: If inclement weather is in the forecast, both teams will follow ASA rules about delaying meet. The clubhouse and bathroom area is not very big, so you should go to your car. Remember, do not to leave the meet until Jennifer or I indicate verbally or via email that the meet has ended and you can leave.

Concessions: The host team will have a full concession stand with hamburgers, veggie burgers, and hot dogs. Plus drinks, chips, ice cream, snacks and candy. They accept Venmo and Cash.

Parking: Parking on Harrington Drive is limited to the LEFT side ONLY (side next to tennis courts). You will see No Parking signs. Fire Safety Laws say all cars must be facing as if they are exiting the neighborhood. Please do not park on both sides of Harrington Drive as cars are not able to pass in and out of the neighborhood. It may be a long walk in the neighborhood so bringing a wagon for carrying stuff is a great idea!

Dinner after a meet is a fun (and optional) HH Hurricane tradition! If the meet doesn't end too late, the coaches would like to invite all families to Lazy Dog on Haynes Bridge and North Point Parway immediately following the meet. There is no obligation but all are welcome!

Fun Friday is from 10:00-11:00 AM for all ages. Swimmers will get a donut and the ribbons they won from the meet on Thursday night as well as splash and have fun as a team. The coaches will also be available for stroke clinic from 12-1; please let Coach Claire know if you are interested. Don't miss it!
