Hello Hurricane Families! Swim practice starts TOMORROW, Monday, May 6! The water is nice and the new diving blocks are in so come ready to dive in and have fun!

Here's what you need to know this week. Important dates at the end so please review the entire message.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE THIS WEEK - Monday through Thursday

• 5:00-5:45 PM 7-10 Year Olds
• 5:45-6:15 PM 6 & under (tadpoles)
• 6:15-7:00 PM 11+ Year Olds

Activities during practice - practices this week will include exercises on dry land, team building activities, and swimming in the water. We will monitor the weather to ensure everyone is safe and communicate via email like this and on the team site with any changes.

Items to bring to practice - each swimmer should wear a swimsuit that is comfortable for exercising and swimming as well as clothes over it for use when out of the pool as needed; please also bring a towel, goggles and shoes. Water bottles are recommended for those that may want a drink during activities. Apply sunscreen to your child prior to practice as appropriate. Please help your child keep track of their items and label them for easy identification and return if left at the pool.

Team t-shirts and swimsuits have arrived! They will be distributed during practice this week. Please be on the lookout for them and put them somewhere you'll remember when the swim meets start at the end of the month.

Important dates for this season:

• Thursday, May 23 - No practice due to the last day of school activities at the HH pool
• Monday, May 27 - Swim team lemonade stand from 3-5 PM in front of the clubhouse; a signup will be sent soon to volunteer and donate items for the sale; no practice due to Memorial Day
• Monday, June 3 - Picture day; a professional photographer will be at the pool for individual pictures starting at 9 AM and the team photo at 9:45 AM; a signup will be sent soon
• Wednesday, June 26 - Swim Team Banquet at 6 PM in the HH Clubhouse; awards will be given and we will celebrate as a team afterwards with Kona Ice by the pool
